experiences

we believe that to falling in love with food takes all your senses - and nothing compares to being able to touch, smell, and taste food in person.we design experiences to get people up close and personal with Malay cuisine - and in the process, have meaningful conversations, make new friends, and learn a little bit more about themselves and spaces they inhabit.
"We think the Malay table is thus naturally cerewet (picky). As a young child still learning to enjoy spice and the intense flavours of the cuisine, any complaints directed toward the food would always be placated with another, more palatable dish. In abundance, there was always something for everyone to eat."- A More Inclusive Malay Table | substack
"The foods and items that are core to our celebration of this season are nowhere to be found in the bazaar, or at best tucked into peripheral corners. Crowds form to gather in this traditional space, but the purpose and intention is not quite what it used to be. The bazaar has ceased to serve its original purpose. It no longer celebrates and affirms our identity as Singaporean Malays."- Bazaar Ramadan: Pesta or Parasite? | substack
